Take me out to the ball game

We have been in t-ball land the past week and 1/2. Owen has had so much fun but I will not tell a lie, I will be glad when it is over. T-ball tournaments are pricey and stressful. It is not like a regular season, where games are free. We have to drive to play and pay 4$ per game! So it hasn't been easy on the wallet. I wouldn't dare miss a game though, not matter how much it cost. And let me talk about the stress. During the reg. season our t-ball games were very laid back, absolutely no stress. We had little boys playing in the dirt, picking grass, and dancing. Can you guess which one of those Owen did?And imagine our surprise when they called asking Owen to be on the all star team.  But in tournament ball it is serious business! You want the boys to do a good job and represent their district. All of the parents are yelling, umpires are not always fair, and we have played teams that look as though they could play against the braves. Last night we finally won our first game. It was so nice for our boys to finally bring home that win. However, they have been having so much fun I don't think they have cared or noticed that we have been clobbered every game, until last night. T-ball is suppose to be fun and we are for sure having it. He started out playing in the outfield but has recently been playing catcher, which he thinks is so awesome! We have to stay on top of him to pay attention because my friendly boy likes to have discussions with the umpire the entire game. 4 games left and it will all be over....well until next year.
Ready to run into home
